Each marketplace, from its own country

eBay changes prices, shipping and even which listings you see by where the visitor is. Spidra reads ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, ebay.de, ebay.com.au, ebay.ca, ebay.fr, ebay.it and ebay.es from a residential connection in that marketplace's country, so ebay.de comes back the way a shopper in Germany sees it.

Prices keep the marketplace's own currency and its number format in priceText, with a clean number in price. Labels stay in the site's language.

Sponsored listings, marked

On the first page of an eBay search, more than half the cards are often sponsored. eBay hides the label behind decoy text, so a plain HTML parser either misses it or marks every card.

Spidra reads the real signal and sets sponsored to true or false on every listing, with sponsoredCount for the page. Drop the ads, or keep them and track who pays for placement.

Sold prices: what still works

Since July 2026, eBay sends visitors who aren't signed in to its sign-in page for any sold or completed search, on every marketplace. Spidra doesn't sign in, so those jobs fail at once and cost nothing.

An ended listing's own page still opens. Send the item link and you get listingStatus ENDED, whether it sold, the final price and the bid count. Multi-quantity listings also show how many have sold in soldCount.

What to know before you build

We would rather you hear the limits from us than find them in production.

  • Sold and completed searches (LH_Sold or LH_Complete) need a signed-in account on every marketplace since July 2026. Spidra reads eBay as a visitor who isn't signed in, so these jobs fail free. Ended item pages still open and give the final price.
  • One page per request: a search returns 60 listings by default, or up to 240 with _ipg=240 in the link. Use _pgn for the next pages.
  • Supported marketplaces are ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, ebay.de, ebay.com.au, ebay.ca, ebay.fr, ebay.it and ebay.es.
  • Bid history pages are not supported yet.
  • Seller pages and feedback entries can name private sellers and buyers. Handle personal data according to the privacy laws that apply to you.

eBay

Yes. The Browse API returns active listings, defaults to 5,000 calls a day, and production access is tied to the eBay Partner Network. The Finding API, which had completed items, was shut down in February 2025, and sold data sits in the Marketplace Insights API, which is limited release. Spidra reads the public eBay pages instead, so you get what a shopper sees, including sponsored placement.
