What is the difference between split view and unified view?

Split view shows the original and changed text side by side: removed lines appear on the left in red, added lines appear on the right in green. Unified view shows both in a single column with + and - prefixes, similar to the output of git diff.

Is there a size limit for the text I can compare?

Each input is capped at 3,000 lines to keep the browser responsive. For larger files, consider using a desktop diff tool such as git diff, vimdiff, or a dedicated code editor.

Does this tool store or transmit my text?
